Community Care Program

Giving Back Through Compassionate Veterinary Care

Caring for Pets, Families, and Our Community

At Acton Animal Hospital, we believe that being a veterinary hospital means more than caring for pets when they're sick. It means being an active partner in the health and well-being of the community we serve.

Everything we do is guided by our mission:

Acton Veterinary Group passionately cares for pets and their families, providing a Fear-Free approach, education, and support to make a positive difference in every life we touch.

The Community Care Program is one way we bring that mission to life.

Through veterinary services, educational resources, and community outreach, we strive to improve the lives of pets and the people who care for them throughout Granbury, Hood County, and the surrounding communities. Every initiative reflects our commitment to compassionate veterinary care, education, and service.

Why We Created the Community Care Program

For years, families throughout Granbury, Godley, and Hood County have trusted Acton Animal Hospital to care for their pets. That trust has allowed us to build relationships that extend far beyond the exam room.

The Community Care Program was created as our way of giving back.

Some of the greatest opportunities to improve animal health happen outside of a routine veterinary visit. By creating programs that address important community needs, we can expand access to veterinary services, promote responsible pet ownership, and provide educational resources that benefit both pets and their families.

Giving back isn't a separate part of our mission.

It's simply another way we live it every day.

Our Commitment

Every Community Care initiative reflects the same values that guide the care we provide inside our hospital.

Compassionate Veterinary Care

Every pet deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and high-quality medical care.

Fear-Free Experiences

Reducing fear, anxiety, and stress helps create a better experience for both pets and the people who love them.

Education

Helping pet owners make informed decisions strengthens the human-animal bond and improves lifelong health.

Service

We believe one of the greatest privileges of being a veterinary hospital is the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years.

What Is the Community Care Program?

The Community Care Program is Acton Animal Hospital's outreach initiative dedicated to improving the health and well-being of pets through accessible veterinary services, educational resources, and community partnerships.

Each program is developed to meet a specific need while supporting our mission of making a positive difference in every life we touch.

Whether through preventive care, educational opportunities, or community-focused veterinary services, our goal is always the same:

To improve lives through compassion, education, and service.

Why Community Care Matters

Strong communities are built through partnerships.

When veterinarians, pet owners, caregivers, and neighbors work together, we create healthier pets, stronger families, and a better future for the animals who share our community.

Every educational resource we provide, every Community Care initiative we develop, and every act of service is another opportunity to fulfill our mission.

Because making a positive difference doesn't always happen inside an exam room.

Sometimes it starts with simply giving back.
