Supporting Healthy Aging

Why Senior Cat Preventive Care Matters

Senior cats may experience gradual changes in kidney function, thyroid health, weight, appetite, dental health, mobility, and behavior. Routine preventive care helps us identify these changes earlier and make recommendations that support comfort and quality of life.

🩺

Monitor Age-Related Changes

Regular examinations help us track changes in weight, appetite, dental health, mobility, behavior, skin, coat, and overall condition.

🔬

Detect Concerns Earlier

Senior laboratory screening evaluates organ function, blood cells, thyroid health, urine, and intestinal parasite exposure.

💚

Support Quality of Life

Earlier recognition of change gives us more opportunity to support comfort, nutrition, mobility, and healthy aging.

Senior Cat Wellness Foundation

What Is Included

The Senior Cat Wellness Membership includes preventive services designed to monitor your cat more closely as they age.

🩺

Two Preventive Care Examinations

Your senior cat will receive two comprehensive preventive care examinations during the membership year.

These visits allow our veterinarians to monitor weight, nutrition, dental health, skin, coat, heart, lungs, mobility, behavior, comfort, and other changes that may develop with age.

Two Additional Examinations

The plan includes two additional examinations that can be used as needed during the membership year.

These visits may be helpful when a new concern develops or when your cat needs to be examined between scheduled preventive visits. Diagnostic testing, treatment, and medications are separate unless specifically included in the plan.

🔬

Senior Diagnostic Screening

Senior diagnostic screening provides a more complete evaluation of your cat’s internal health and helps identify changes that may not be visible during a physical examination.

The screening includes:

  • Blood chemistry panel
  • Complete blood count
  • Thyroid testing
  • Urinalysis
  • Intestinal parasite fecal examination

These tests help evaluate organ function, blood cells, thyroid health, urine concentration, and intestinal parasite exposure.

🛡️

FVRCP Vaccination

The membership includes FVRCP vaccination when due during the plan year.

The FVRCP combination vaccine helps protect against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia. Your veterinarian will recommend vaccination based on your cat’s previous vaccine history and current health.

🏷️

Rabies Vaccination

Rabies vaccination is included when due during the membership year.

Rabies is a fatal viral disease that can affect both animals and people. Maintaining current vaccination protects your cat and helps meet local legal requirements.

🐾

Included Nail Trims

Nail trims are included as part of the Senior Cat Wellness Membership.

Regular nail care helps prevent overgrown nails and supports comfort, mobility, and healthy paw care as cats age.

Flexible by Design

Build the Right Plan for Your Senior Cat

Senior cats do not all age in the same way. Their preventive needs may vary based on lifestyle, mobility, dental health, medical history, vaccine history, and ongoing health concerns.

Our team will help you select the included foundation and optional services that best fit your cat’s current stage of life.

Easier Budgeting

Convenient Monthly Payments

Senior preventive care may include multiple examinations, advanced laboratory screening, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and dental care during the year.

Tailwaggers Wellness Club spreads the cost of the selected services across monthly payments according to the terms of your membership.

Care That Fits

Adjust the Plan Up or Down

Begin with your senior cat’s preventive-care foundation and add appropriate options based on your veterinarian’s recommendations and your family’s preferences.

The goal is to provide the care your cat needs without placing your family into a rigid package that does not fit.

Senior Cat Wellness Plan Questions

Why does my senior cat need more advanced diagnostic testing?

Senior diagnostic screening evaluates organ function, blood cells, thyroid health, urine, and intestinal parasite exposure. These tests can identify changes before obvious symptoms develop and provide useful information for monitoring your cat over time.

Are examinations for new concerns included?

The membership includes two additional examinations that may be used as needed. Diagnostic testing, treatment, medications, and other services associated with an illness are separate unless specifically included.

Does every senior cat need the same vaccines?

No. Vaccine recommendations may vary based on your cat’s previous vaccine history, lifestyle, outdoor access, contact with other cats, and overall health. Our veterinary team will recommend the vaccinations that fit your cat.

Does an indoor senior cat need parasite prevention?

Indoor cats may still be exposed to mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites. Our veterinary team can review your cat’s lifestyle and help you decide whether Revolution Plus is an appropriate option.

Is dental care automatically included?

Professional dental cleaning is an available plan option. Our veterinary team can evaluate your cat’s dental health and help you decide whether to add it to the membership.

Can the Senior Cat Wellness Membership be customized?

Yes. The plan starts with an included preventive-care foundation and can be adjusted with available options based on your senior cat’s individual needs.
